Mission Statement

To support the education of young Tibetan students to develop competitive edge in STEAM fields that will ensure a thriving Tibetan community who will continue the cause of Tibet.

Description

The United Nations for Tibet is an organization entirely run by volunteers in over 40 countries. It was born out of despair and the total lack of action by the United Nations on the plight of Tibetans. After 60 years of repression, Tibetans have shown great perseverance with their peaceful struggle for freedom and justice with the leadership of the Dalai Lama. We support the education of young students to develop competitive edge in STEAM fields that will ensure a thriving Tibetan community who will continue the cause of Tibet.

We currently sponsor over 40 children from the remote regions of the Himalayas to be able to attend boarding schools for higher education. UNFFT also supports various projects aimed to preserve Tibetan culture. With your generous help, we will be able to support more children to be able to access better schools and resources.

The UNFFT is a member of Amnesty International, a friend of Forum 2000 and a lifetime member of the Australia Tibet Council.
