Mission Statement
The San Pablo Historical & Museum Society is an organization that was formed in 1970 in order to gather and preserve information and materials pertaining to the history of San Pablo.
Description
he objectives of the Society shall be the discovery, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge concerning the history of San Pablo . More particularly its objectives shall be:
1. To discover and collect any material which may help to establish or illustrate the history of San Pablo.
2. To provide for the preservation of such materials and to make it accessible for examination and study . To encourage archaeological investigations of aboriginal or pioneer sites in the locality, and to bring about the preservation of historic buildings, monuments, markers, and artifacts.
3. To disseminate historical information and arouse interest in the past by meetings with addresses, lectures, papers, and discussion, by promoting interest in historical subjects in the schools, and by
preserving information regarding historical buildings, sites and trails .
4 . To sponsor docent training programs.
