Mission Statement

Meals on Wheels of the College Park Area strives to prepare and deliver nutritious meals to seniors in our area who are no longer able to, or find it hard to cook for themselves. When we deliver these meals, we are not only providing healthy meals, we are also helping to break the social isolation that plague our seniors in our communities. A lot of times, the volunteers who deliver the meals are the only person they will see out of each day.

Description

Since 1974, Meals on Wheels of the College Park Area has been providing enough food for three meals a day, Monday through Friday, to seniors in our area who have a difficult time or are unable to cook for themselves.
We service a number of cities from Beltsville to Mount Rainier, including College Park, University Park, Berwyn Heights, Greenbelt, Riverdale, Adelphi, Hyattsville, and other communities in between.
We rely on our dedicated volunteers to pack and deliver these meals to our clients. With the rising numbers of seniors ageing in place in America, the need for Meals on Wheels continues to grow and so does our need for volunteers.
