Compassion & Dignity for children in foster care
Project Never Again is an Oregon based non-profit organization that serves children in foster care. Due to limited resources, child welfare caseworkers often have to house children's belongings in boxes or garbage bags as they enter foster care. Our organization delivers brand new duffel bags directly to Child Welfare offices so that garbage bags are never the option for our children. To date, we have delivered 3200 bags serving children in all 36 counties within Oregon. In 2020, we hope to deliver 4000 bags. Foster care is a traumatic experience for vulnerable children and the use of trash bags only contributes to their feelings of being humiliated and homeless. It is our dream that someday not a single child entering foster care will ever have to endure the trauma of carrying a black trash bag to their foster home. Together with fellow Oregonians, we want to be the change our children need. Join us
