The subcommittee is responsible for: Executing the engagement plan to welcome, thank and touch base with participants. Offering assistance to participants who might need help reaching their fundraising or recruitment goals. Leading efforts to recognize participants when they hit fundraising milestones, including the Celebration Party. The Coaching Chair and Coaching Subcommittee should be comfortable speaking with people, sharing advice and helping to motivate participants.

The Community Outreach Subcommittee is tasked with raising awareness of The Longest Day and Alzheimer’s disease by engaging with community members. The subcommittee is responsible for: Building public awareness of The Longest Day through local media outlets and social media. Delivering promotional materials to local businesses and community hubs. Finding creative grassroots marketing opportunities. The Community Outreach Chair and Community Outreach Subcommittee should have a strong knowledge of local media outlets, excellent oral and written communication and a creative approach to marketing.
