The Mission of the Clearwater Historical Society is to Educate, Collect, Preserve, Exhibit and Promote the People, Culture and Events of Clearwater’s rich past.
The Society was started in 1978 in Clearwater, Florida. In 2014 the Society leased South Ward School from Pinellas County School Board, 5 acres of land and 6 buildings in downtown clearwater. June 15, 2019 the museum opened to the public. The 1906 building houses the museum telling the history of Clearwater and the surrounding area. The media center we use as rental to local groups and non profits.
