The mission is to raise standards of living for all LA County residents by increasing economic opportunity and regional prosperity

Description

There are millions in LA County who are struggling with jobs that pay poorly and six of ten jobs created since the great recession are poverty inducing. LAEDC is focused on the future of job creation, innovation and helping people to live in self-sufficiency, uplifting communities through better jobs. Having additional staffing and resources, including volunteers, allows us to get the work done and fewer residents will fall into the social safety net or homelessness. We are a true public-private partnership working in all areas of LA County.
