Mission Statement

Parkinson’s Pointe uses a behavior change model to drive high quality programs, support and education allowing the community affected by Parkinson’s Disease to improve the quality of their life. We do this locally by providing high quality programs consistent with the latest research and a supportive environment for people with Parkinson’s Disease to elevate their level of resilience. Nationally, we provide evidence based, professional continuing education to fitness and rehabilitation professionals so that they can better serve their communities. Parkinson’s Pointe aims to be a model for community based programming that could be replicated nationwide and could be expanded to serve other populations.

Description

We provide:
High quality programs consistent with current evidence based research
A variety of exercise classes and programming that allows members to customize classes and meet the individual's specific needs as no two people with PD are the same
Programs for YOPD including appropriate levels of exercise classes
Four intensity levels to ensure the safety and success of all participants
Mentoring program for newly diagnosed and care partners
Evidence based continuing education for professionals nationwide
Mentorship program for professionals working in the Parkinson’s community
The optimal setting to support behavior change and the development of new health behavior habits.
A physical community space that feels like "home" for all those impacted by Parkinson’s Disease.
