An Experienced Administrative Assistant/Manager is required to keep track of artist schedules, class dates, class schedules, and to facilitate the exchange of information among artists, instructors and volunteers. Daily monitoring, forwarding, and replying to emails is required. Provide support and promotion for monthly art exhibit receptions and other events, and other responsibility may be required. Work at home is acceptable for an individual who has access to internet and who has an up to date computer. Experience with Google docs, Google spreadsheet, and Gmail is required, as well as the ability to communicate verbally or on paper. Detail orientation is a must. Alternately, work may be performed at our facility in Peninsula, Ohio, on our equipment. Planning, organizing and coordinating expertise is a must. We are a volunteer run organization dedicated to presenting art and art education for all levels of ability. Our volunteers who are artists or crafters may have the opportunity to sell and promote their work with us. If you enjoy art, come volunteer with us. The Peninsula Art Academy (PAA) is a popular place for locals and tourists to visit and take classes. Since it is close to the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, there is a steady stream of visitors before the train is loaded and when people get off. There are times when the Academy has a real party atmosphere; full of visitors, artists, students and generally interesting people. There are also lulls that allow quiet time for paperwork. A benefit to volunteers who are artists or crafters is the opportunity to display their crafts and make new friends. Our Volunteer Coordinator will train each volunteer. Most of the procedures are documented for easy reference. Volunteers greet visitors and explain the Academy's educational offerings and aid customers in the Gallery. All the items in the Gallery are made by local artisans. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist and complete sales Answer phone inquiries Manage sign ups for classes Receiving, tagging and recording artist inventory Help set up exhibits, decorations, displays Use computer for various administrative tasks Open/Close the Academy and gallery (First shift opens, second shift closes) Perform other routine tasks as required.

We are seeking people to help us keep our marketing information up to date. We use social media in the form of direct email, Facebook and Instagram in order to keep our students and associates up to date on the latest classes and events at The Peninsula Art Academy. You will need computer proficiency. We will train you on our software. A graphic design background would be helpful. Google.docs, google. sheets, will primarily be used. Students welcome, especially Art and multimedia Students. Duties include updating our email list, helping design and send out promotional materials, and organizing collateral art. Other duties as appropriate. For example, most of the tasks are documented by written procedure sheets for reference and occasional updating.
