Mission Statement
The Life Development Center is a faith-based organization that is focused on holistic transformation of individuals and communities within Chicago and around the world. Through partnership with various community organizations both locally and internationally, we provide innovative services in five areas: Youth Development, Leadership Development, Educational Enrichment, Economic Empowerment, and Community Empowerment.
Description
Youth Development- This being carried out through the Leading Lights Youth Center- This focuses on the development of children and youth in the Chicago area through activities such as after-school programming in neighborhood schools, youth talent development events, and the Leading Lights Youth Camp that takes place annually in the summer in a faith-based atmosphere.
Leadership Development - This is being carried out through leadership workshops and trainings conducted for community residents.
Educational Enrichment - This being carried out through programs aimed at preparing residents of the community for the workplace. This is empowered through partnership with community organizations.
Economic Empowerment - This is being carried out through educational trainings and mentoring that empower businesses, financial, and commercial development aimed at improving the overall quality of life in a neighborhood.
Community Empowerment - This is being carried out through partnership with community leaders, residents and organizations, we seek to collaborate for community revitalization and for taking a united stance for justice and compassionate issues that affect residents of the community.
