Mission Statement
Cinco de Mayo Omaha (CDMO) is a 501(c)(3) that promotes culture, education and the embetterment of the South Omaha community. This year marks the 100 Anniversary of the Omaha Cinco de Mayo celebration. It will take place May 8-10, 2020 on historic South 24th Street, and has been recognized as one of the top 15 Great Places in America that draws some 125,000 attendees over the 3-day weekend from surrounding states.
Description
The festival will take place along 24th street from F to L that will feature live music/entertainment, carnival rides, food, exhibitors, health fair, MISS coronation, games, concerts and children’s section. Keeping with tradition, the biggest parade in the Midwest will be on Saturday, May 9th. Also, a banquet will take place that will recognize Latino families that have contributed to the Omaha fabric of life.
