Description

We are looking for motivated volunteers to help us on an exciting corporate campaign asking Stop&Shop to cut ties with meat producers like Cargill that are responsible for devastating deforestation and water pollution in South America. The campaign is being organized by Mighty Earth. As volunteers or interns, students will help us to build grassroots power and work with volunteers, local organizations, and participate in environmental advocacy. With this work, they can join us in addressing one of the biggest threats to our planet: climate change.

Tasks can include (but will not be limited to) helping to plan a petitioning events, rallies and forums, and learning to train future advocates for the environmental movement. Over the next several months, we will be organizing community events, working with the media, collecting petition signatures, and building a broad coalition of businesses to join us in asking Stop&Shop to hold Cargill accountable, and showing them that customers in their home state of Massachusetts do not want to buy meat that contributes unnecessary pollution and carbon emission.
