Description

The citizen soldiers and airmen of the Washington National Guard are dedicated to the mission of safeguarding lives and property in Washington State; in serving in the USA and overseas. Members come from a wide diversity of communities, professions and backgrounds from around the State. They are your neighbors, co-workers, friends and family members.

The Minuteman Fund of Washington was incorporated in 1991 that is run completely by volunteers and governed by its Board of Directors. We are funded solely by personal donations; individuals, corporations and combined fund Drives/Campaigns. We do not receive any government funding.

The Minuteman Emergency Assistance Grant Program is a benefit program that receives funds from the Minuteman Fund of Washington. This is currently our only program. It is through this program that we award emergency assistance grants to Washington National Guard members and their families that find themselves facing a temporary financial emergency. Whether it’s due to an injury, an unexpected disaster, family emergency, or unforeseen medical expense, financial emergencies can challenge even the strongest and most prepared members of our Washington National Guard. Sometimes members have to ask for help when their finances take a huge hit or turn for the worst. Most often this means asking for assistance with rent, utilities, vehicle repairs or groceries.
