"To enable all people to explore divisive barriers and to develop the self confidence to build mutual respect, tolerance and trust through positive shared experiences"
Harmony Community Trust is a cross community organisation founded in 1975 to promote community relations and social inclusion. Its main base is a sixteen-acre wildlife area at Kilclief, close to the shores of Strangford Lough, from which it delivers community relations, social inclusion and respite programmes on a year round basis.
To promote a person centred approach in all of our work to enable all staff, volunteers and participants to realise and achieve their full potential through creative and enjoyable programmes of activity.
To develop user focused programmes and activities, which encourage access for all members of society regardless of any differences whether real or perceived.
To ensure that the sum of our work maintains and enhances our long term sustainability.
To centre all our activities on the principles of equity, diversity and interdependence.
To encourage the empowerment, inclusion and involvement of all our staff, volunteers and participants.
