HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF FLORIDA'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF THE FLORIDA AFFILIATES IN ORDER TO OPERATE WITH EXCELLENCE AND INCREASE HOUSEHOLDS SERVED.
With more than 30 State Support Organizations in the United States providing services to Habitat affiliates, Habitat affiliates in Florida chose to operate for many years with a loosely-organized committee to oversee functions such as advocacy and resource delivery. The sharing of information was done on an informal basis.
In 2009, Habitat Florida incorporated and hired its first Executive Director. Habitat Florida's main functions are to provide housing policy and funding advocacy, disaster recovery, training, and technical assistance, and resource development and deployment.
