Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
To partner Bay Area youth groups with computer technology based companies and business leaders. To encourage direct contact with nature and technology as a means of inspiring self -esteem and network youth with the opportunities that surround them. To expose low-income, at-risk children, to outdoor adventure activities such as skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking as a way of introducing them to corporate mentors.
Skiing and Snowboarding Adventures for Kids. Here is the idea: Your company is banding together 10 employees to go out and make a difference by spending some quality time with kids who need mentors. We try and match the corporate sponsors to education programs where youth are currently studying or have an interest in the product or service offered by that sponsor. You do not have to be a skiing or snowboarding world cup racer to participate, but you should be able to ski or snowboard down the beginner slopes. We are asking you to spend a little time with kids who need your attention and let them now what you do and encourage them to think big. We think that a day on the slopes is a wonderful way to mentor a child.
