Mission Statement

Freewheels Houston volunteers repair donated used bicycles for people who need a way to get to work or school in Houston. We give bikes to refugees, teenagers and veterans emerging from homelessness--people who are trying to make life better for themselves.

Description

Freewheels volunteers range from experienced mechanics to people who want to learn how to repair bikes. Senior volunteers help train volunteers just getting started with the shared goal of repairing bikes to safe, reliable working condition. Our workdays are fun and productive and a good opportunity to improve your bike repair skills. Volunteers also help distribute bikes and safety equipment and assist in shop operations.
