Up2Us Sports leads a national service movement of AmeriCorps coaches who deliver daily physical activity programs to youth in the nation’s most vulnerable communities. We train coaches on how to translate athletic skills to life skills for youth living in communities afflicted by violence and other negative social behaviors. Up2Us Training focuses on coaches who work with youth in low-income communities who often experience stress and trauma as result of repeated exposure to negative behaviors. Our trauma-informed approach to coaching ensures that coaches can perform a critical role in helping youth in these communities to heal and thrive.
