Mission Statement

The mission of One Call Away is to directly affect the lives of veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The foundation aids in PTSD awareness and to further the aid in prevention of veteran’s suicide. The foundation wishes to help grow the general public’s awareness of PTSD, to further the aid in prevention of veteran’s suicide and to provide direct financial support when needed. One Call Away will accomplish this mission by providing a hotline to receive calls from veterans in distress. Once contact has been made our goal is to provide a risk free environment by offering peer support on an individual and group basis and to be able to provide financial support for those in recovery.

Description

Currently One Call Away is locating to 401 Ramah Circle South in Agawam, MA. We are working in partnership with the Massachusetts Military Support Foundation, opening an Empowerment Center. The mission of the MMSF is to provide programs, services and goods that help satisfy critical needs and enhance the well-being and quality of life for Massachusetts active duty military, National Guard, Coast Guard, Veterans and their families. We are looking for volunteers to staff the Empowerment Center. We at One Call Away are so very excited to be partnering with MMSF and to be able to offer services to our Western Mass Families. Whether it be for 3-4 hours one day a month or several days a month. We'd love to have you.
