SANTA CLARITA VALLEY EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Description

SCVEF is dedicated to education across Santa Clarita and provides an array of programs such as Principal for a Day, Read With Me!, and the Bag of Books program. Each of these events provides the community with opportunities to engage and support our local public schools. The latter two are dedicated to promoting literacy skills in title 1 schools by providing books as resources to budding readers and even having volunteers step into the classroom to work one-on-one with struggling readers. Other programs include Teacher Innovation Grants and Student Scholarships for those interested in a career in education. Through these programs, we hope to support budding teachers and give existing teachers the necessary materials and resources to bring their creative ideas to fruition.
