The mission of Joy of the Heart Foundation Inc. or Jhf is to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals of poverty and hunger reduction among rural communities of Africa, Asia and America. This mission is guided by the principles of rural community mobilization and empowerment, diligence, self-help and cooperation. Thus, it gives rural poor the opportunity to build self-confidence and self-reliance, to help themselves and to work their way out of profound deprivation and hopelessness.

Jhf is a christian, non-profit, non-governmental, non-political and non-sectarian organization serving under the preamble of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights for the promotion of a better life for the poor and most privileged men, women and children of Africa, Asia and America.
