Mission Statement

The Clark County Park District seeks to preserve the natural beauty of our parks, as well as our history through active stewardship efforts from our local Springfield community and beyond.

Description

The park district was formed on July 27th, 1977 , and is run under Section 1545.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. The park district headquarters at the Davidson Interpretive Center (street address is 5638 Lower Valley Pike) is open Monday through Friday 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. George Rogers Clark Park is open 8:00 AM to DUSK. Estel Wenrick Wetlands, Leadingham Prairie Preserve, and Mad River Gorge & Nature Preserve are open daylight hours. They offer children and adult programs throughout the year teaching about natural and living history.
