Description

4 Colorado Kids was founded in June 2017 by a group of local business owners, teachers, therapists, parents and advocates, to help close the gap for local families and children living in poverty.

Many of our founding members were working in direct-care and supported families and children, many times with disabilities. As they provided services in-home or at area schools, they noticed first-hand that basic necessities were missing - such as food, weather-appropriate clothing, beds and blankets, school supplies and other important items, that are critical to the development and growth of a child.

4 Colorado Kids was formed to work one-one-one with families, community partners, health care providers, nonprofits, schools and other entities, to address the needs of children and ensure they receive the care they need in order to be successful.

Our programs include summer sponsorships, disabled family support and the Erase the Need Program providing clothing, healthy snacks and brand-new backpacks filled with school supplies, so children can show up to school ready to start the new year on the same level as their peers and excited to learn. The program also supports local teachers and their classrooms. Schools across the State of Colorado can request much-needed materials and experiences for their students.
