Dollistory’s vision is a compassionate, respectful, and safe community. Its mission is to help eradicate prejudice and intolerance by providing educational and charitable projects and programs that will benefit children and families in low to moderate income areas. To achieve the mission, Dollistory delivers an interactive presentation using multicultural, multi-generational, action figures/ dolls, etc. that replicate historical events to schools, churches and community organizations.
The founder of Dollistory is a retired educator who has some 700 dolls and accessories. The organization has traveled to various states to participate in different type venues. Dollistory is composed of mobile exhibits using the multicultural and history curriculum of the Clark County School District as our guide. We have 2 primary goals-(1) for us- practice ethical accountability in the management, acquisition, research, of our presentation and (2) for participants-learn to reflect on the past, embrace diversity, address the present. Contact teachers for subject topic-might have to provide suggested topic. Present a 30 - 40 minute class or 2 class maximum presentation using action figures. Depending on presentation games, sheets, or another activity is presented. Main thing students must be allowed to talk/ask question.
