The Crime Victim Center's mission is to empower people impacted by crime to move from crisis to resiliency.

Description

CVC helps victims of any and all crime and their families with a full range of advocacy and crisis intervention services. All our services are free of charge and available to victims, families and community members affected by crime and violence. Specialized services are available for victims of homicide and domestic violence.

CVC provides the services necessary to help victims of crime throughout the Metropolitan St. Louis area (and other areas as requested) reconstruct their lives following the trauma of victimization. Services include: ​

  • Crisis intervention

  • Counseling

  • Advocacy

  • Criminal justice guidance

  • Help for domestic violence victims filing for and obtaining orders of protection

  • Information on victim issues and victim rights

  • Preparation for restorative justice activities

  • Referral to community resources, and

  • Assistance filing victim compensation.
