Mission Statement
High Rollers Adaptive Sports Foundation’s mission is to build a community of adaptive athletes in Las Vegas, NV by promoting and equipping adaptive sports teams. We believe that adaptive sports are the best therapy for the lifelong recovery process following a life-changing injury. Not only will adaptive athletes find a competitive outlet, but they will be surrounded by a community that will help maximize their independence. High Rollers is convinced it is not only possible but necessary for those with physical challenges to do more and to be more active than they ever were before their injuries.
Description
The foundation acts as both the booster and club for Las Vegas High Rollers Wheelchair Rugby. Currently, we are a developmental program with hopes of expanding to include both competitive and recreational teams.
For the newly injured, our athletes reach out and provide peer mentorship, as well as backpacks containing a resource guide to help reduce the confusion and anxiety that always occur after a life-altering injury
In addition, we run clinics at our adaptive sporting events that provide an entertaining setting for current and future healthcare providers to learn about disabilities and the opportunities in the community for those living a life on wheels.
