Mission Statement

Action for Solidarity, Inc is a US non-profit organization founded in 1997 and designated 501 (c) (3) - tax-free. Our mission is to contribute to reduce the social impact of the HIV epidemic, within the Hispanic community and immigrants in the United States and Latin American countries offering answers in the areas of prevention and comprehensive care, always striving to ensure recognition, respect, protection and attention to the human rights of people living with HIV, their partners and families. Since 2016, due to the situation Venezuela is facing, which is recognized as a complex humanitarian emergency, we decided to expand our services to help people with other types of chronic diseases. This is how our Humanitarian Action Program Action4Help was born. Since its inception, we have dedicated to channel all the humanitarian aid received from North America (Canada, United States, and Mexico) to ship it to Venezuela and distribute nationwide.

Description

Since 2016, we have a special focus on our Humanitarian Action Program, called Action4Help. This program was created as a response to the complex humanitarian emergency that Venezuela is going through.

Our support is direct to the Humanitarian Action Program of Acción Solidaria, which is a Venezuelan civil organization. Currently, Acción Solidaria carries out one of the most far-reaching programs in the country, which is recognized by multilateral agencies and humanitarian agencies of the United Nations and the European Union.

Among our achievements are:
* Support from 17 countries around the world (42 cities).
* 93.11 tons in donations of medicines between May 2016 and December 2018.
An extensive network of 69 allied civil organizations.
* 22 years of experience in humanitarian efforts and organization.
* Support from 4 International Organizations: PAHO, UNAIDS, Direct Relief, and Americares.

This is why we can guarantee the fact of each donation received through our program is channeled correctly and delivered to the hands of those who need it most.

Action4Help has been growing very fast. We think this is happening because people are getting more sensitive about the Venezuelan situation. As a result, we are receiving more donations and that means we need more help to do the best job we can.
