The mission of the Pedagogical Institute of Los Angeles is to enrich the global community and enhance children’s lives through innovative education, mentoring, and community outreach.

Description

The Pedagogical Institute of Los Angeles (PILA), was founded in 2014 by a group of educators and local citizens who believe that all children are rich in potential and teeming with ideas and theories. We affirm that children, regardless of economic or geographic considerations, are entitled to an education that sparks curiosity, wonder and innate desire to make meaning in the world. To this end, we come together to support children and teachers in underserved communities throughout Los Angeles and in refugee settlements abroad.
