Fortitudo have been working on a project to help increase access to affordable healthcare in Africa. After several research, we found that factors that worsen lack of access in those communities can be mitigated by Telemedicine. We set up a pilot telemedicine service to test our hypothesis and 1.5yrs later, we have completed 1000+ consultations at affordable cost of less than $3 per consult. We are excited about the possible impact of this service on a larger scale in Africa and other developing continents that has high disease burden and lack healthcare providers. We had published and will present our experience titled " Fortitudo Telemedicine - a tool to mitigate the healthcare deficits in a developing country? A work in progress" at HELINA conference in Botswana ( http://conf.helina-online.org/index.php/2019/Nov2019/schedConf/presentations). We are reaching out to you to ask if you can partner with us. We need volunteers who could help us with mobile app development that would add features such as video conferencing, etc which could enable our doctors deliver better care in those settings. This would undoubtedly enable us deliver even better care at still affordable cost in those areas with desperate need.
