Mission Statement

We're on a mission to inspire and prepare youth to succeed in a global economy.

Description

JA Nova Scotia provides hands-on experiential learning in the classroom and through extra-curricular activities to youth aged 3 - 25 years. Programs focus on three educational pillars: financial literacy, workplace readiness, and entrepreneurship. JA recruits volunteers from the business community to collaborate on the delivery of programs, which exposes students to real world business perspectives and ideas.

JA Makes an Impact!

  • Achievers are 25% less likely to be unemployed

  • Achievers are three times more likely to plan for their future

  • Achievers are three times more likely to be managers than their peers

Each year, JA Nova Scotia reaches over 16,000 students provincially. We deliver 750+ programs with the help of more than 800 volunteers. We cannot do what we do without your help! There are volunteer opportunities available with a variety of age groups and range from a one time, 4 hour school morning to an 18 week, 120+ hour time commitment. We work hard to find an opportunity that fits your interests and availability.

Please visit out website ( https://www.janovascotia.ca/volunteer) to find out more about how you can get involved.
