LCC is a nurtering community that reaches into the world, valuing radical welcome by showing Jesus through service to the homeless and poor, providing space for healing and restoration.
Established in 1966 as a merger of four Lutheran Churches in Berkeley, Lutheran Church of the Cross has had a relationship with our outside community for half a century, by hosting twelve step meetings, housing youth, and feeding homeless, seniors and poor on a weekly basis. Currently we house over 20 twelve-step meetings, and in addition to our Wednesday Night Spaghetti Dinner, our facility is home to the Berkeley Food and Housing Network's Quarter Meal the other four weeknights.
