Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide families affordable access to an authentic Montessori education. We seek to fulfill the needs of the whole child by promoting values of peace-making, independence, diversity, and creativity, developing children into compassionate and engaged citizens of the world.

Description

Founded in 2014, ACM is a non-profit (501c3) Montessori school serving the Mobile, Alabama area, governed by a Board of Directors and member parents of the ACM Cooperative. Each classroom is staffed with experienced and certified Montessori educators. ACM is the only school in Mobile offering both a primary and elementary Montessori education, reaching students from 2.5 years old to 6 th grade. Extended morning, afternoon, and summer care is also offered.

We envision a school where our students, their families, and our faculty and staff all thrive. Guided by the principles of Montessori, we will guide students as they grow into peaceful, curious and self-driven individuals; we will provide parents with a village in which they can contribute to their children’s education; we will offer opportunities for growth through training and continuing education for our faculty and staff. Lastly, we will engage the outside community to create awareness of our programs and encourage our students to interact with diverse cultures.
