Mission Statement

Friends of Sanborn aims to ensure that the Sanborn Lake continues to be a quaint, recreational safe haven for the people of Stillwater and the surrounding communities. We hope to inspire future generations to be passionately engaged in the exploration, preservation, and protection of the wonders of nature.

Description

Friends of Sanborn is a grassroots organization formed in 2018 to advocate on behalf of Sanborn Lake and groups that use the lake for environmental education, recreation, and exploration. Our group is passionately working to build an environmental education center for Stillwater residents. Sanborn Lake is Stillwater’s hidden gem.
