Father Gene's Help Center is seeking fashion oriented, perceptive, and decisive individuals to help create personally styled orders of clothing for clients. We are looking for individuals to cover a 3-hour shift from 9 am to 12 pm or from 12 pm to 3 pm, once a week. Duties include: Selecting a variety of clothing items for each person in an order based on the donations that have been received. Creating age appropriate and seasonally appropriate outfits for clients. If possible, prospective volunteers will have experience sizing and dressing children.

Father Gene's Help Center is seeking welcoming individuals to serve as the first face and voice of the organization when clients, donors, and community members come to the center. We are looking for individuals to cover either a morning or an afternoon shift once a week, Monday through Thursday, at least one person per shift. Duties include: Welcome and greet those who come to the center. Help to facilitate an atmosphere of hospitality. Respond to general inquiries. Check in shoppers and queue them appropriately. Distribute client orders. Answer the phone, and when necessary, direct calls to the appropriate person. Keep the reception area ("Hospitality Area") stocked, clean, and tidy. Afternoon volunteers will help to direct and participate in clean up after closing at 3 pm: Wash dishes, cups, and coffee pot. Wipe down tables, chairs, and counters. Vacuum the main shopping area, check out area, and specialty room. Make sure the bathrooms are clean, tidy, and well stocked. Morning volunteers open/unlock the door at 9 am. Afternoon volunteers close/lock the door at 3 pm.

Purpose: The purpose of this position is to restock shelves and racks that have been emptied and to thoroughly stock the main shopping area before the start of the client shopping experience. Nature of job/Responsibilities: Verify that the main shopping areas are thoroughly stocked. Collect empty hangers that may be left on the racks. Restock overflow ("put back") items and empty hangers from the checkout area. Assist with displays and seasonal clothing transitions. Greet guests (anyone who comes in) and respond to general inquiries as able. Qualifications: Kind, welcoming, hospitable, friendly. Enjoys talking to people of all backgrounds. Attentive to detail Please note: FGHC is not able to welcome volunteers who are looking to complete court ordered community service.
