Mission Statement

The purpose of this society, LOESS, is to foster interest in, knowledge about, and scientific appreciation of the fields of Gemology, Mineralogy, Geology, Anthropology, Paleontology, and related branches of the Earth Sciences. This is tempered with good fellowship and fun.

Description

Member of LOESS meet once a month to hear speakers on different topics, we go on collecting field trips throughout the summer, and put on the large mineral and fossil show in October.
