Description
We are a small theater and dance company run by Corey + Betsy Mills. We celebrate creativity and create space for connections. We create our own work, are committed to paying artists fairly, incorporate ways for our audiences to connect, and we do our best to make our events accessible. We produced our first show in 2006. In 2007, we presented another original work and were a part of a grassroots performing arts festival "Fridge Fest" that brought in non-perishable food donations for Sharing and Caring Hands. In 2008, we performed in and hosted a performing arts festival on the Northside of Minneapolis called "Collide*A*Scope". We have performed in the MN Fringe Festival, and toured to other states. In 2017, we produced the original work "HOME: an immersive production about MN teens waiting to be adopted and the journey toward home" at the Capri Theater with the help of 7 local organizations that serve youth in the foster care system. In 2018, we received a Metropolitan Regional Arts Council grant for 4 free intergenerational theater and dance workshops in conjunction with a free performance of "The Supercilious Ways of Walter Wading", which is an ideal introduction to theater for young audiences (3 - 8 years old). We currently host a weekly class for professional theater and dance artists called "Company Class with SPARK" followed by a time of exploration called, "SPARK Lab". We are raising funds to create new work and to add performances of "Walter".
