Mission Statement

We exist in order to engage alumni and friends of Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) in funding scholarships, projects and activities that benefit SMSU students and support the strategic priorities of SMSU.

Description

The Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU) Foundation is a non-profit, self-supporting corporation established solely for the benefit of Southwest Minnesota State University and its students. Since 1963, the SMSU Foundation has been a driving force in helping students achieve their dreams.

The Foundation is guided by the work of an outstanding Board of Directors. The directors are alumni and friends who provide invaluable counsel in fund-raising, portfolio management, strategic planning and other matters.
