Mission Statement

EVERY CHILD MATTERS! Education in Action Cambodia (EAC) is a local non-profit, non-political and non-governmental organization. It was established in late 2011 by a group of educated Cambodians who wanted to give back.

Description

We are a local non-profit organization that work with both children with little or no education, orphans, street children, victim/vulnerable children, and the children who drop out of/have a hard time at public school from grades 0-6. By providing help in the form of non-formal education directly in Khmer literature, Mathematics and English we make sure these children have a chance of a better life. We try to offer opportunities for ex students to come back to the school and train as teachers. Moreover, we are providing intervention to the poor community for cases of domestic violence. We are passionate and committed to improving the lives of these children , but we need help to do this and we would particularly love skilled teachers to help us as our student teachers are keen to learn. It is an amazing experience for our kids here to have native English speakers. However , we would appreciate all offers from people who truly want to help our very special kids face a brighter future.

I had the best time at EAC ! The school is a LOCAL non profit organization and you can really see the difference with other international NGO. They built the school in 2011 in Phnom Penh, for the poorest kids : Orphans, street kids etc.. They really try to give them the best education possible, especially with English lessons so they can have a better future. Some of them even became teachers at the school ! I had the chance to live with them for 3 weeks, we shared our experiences, cultures and so many things - I will never forget that. They need more and more volunteers, english speakers to improve the level, don't be scared - go and make a real difference!
