Mission Statement
Our mission is to promote interest and knowledge of street rail transportation, restore our vintage trolley cars and preserve the remarkable transit legacy of the Pikes Peak region.
Description
We are an all-volunteer museum located in the 1888 Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Roundhouse, in the historic Roswell district of Colorado Springs. We invite our visitors to learn about and experience the extraordinary transit history of our city. From the volunteers who work on the restoration of the magnificent trolley cars that once graced the streets of our beautiful city, to the docents that provide visitors with a wealth of local history, our volunteers have a common vision-- we are passionate about our local history and its preservation. We have recently been featured in a variety of local publications, a national video and a television feature.
