Mission Statement

World Harvest food bank has always embraced Healthy Living... Eat better, live better. We strive to bring fresh organic fruits and vegetables to all of our families. Most of our produce is organic, locally grown and sourced in California. Ensuring food that is pure, chemical, herbicide and pesticide-free. Creating a viable and sustainable solution to healthy eating. Families are encouraged to fill their shopping carts to the brim. In addition to sashimi-grade fish and Seafood, milk and eggs when available. The City of Los Angeles recently selected World Harvest to be the featured organization in its Zero Waste campaign kickoff.

Description

We need your support. World Harvest Food Bank501 c3 is a social supermarket that recovers, redirect, redistribute food and products to families that would not otherwise have access to a healthy meal. Our food diversion project serves over 500,000 individuals a year. We distribute 8 tons a week of high quality diverted food to partners like the Los Angeles Zoo, transitional housing, churches and group homes.

Our Mission is to raise money to enable us to serve more families in and around Los Angeles.

We will be having our 1 st Annual Run from Hunger Marathon this September 29 th at the Los Angeles State Historic Park.
