Mission Statement

To Elevate Community Through Live Symphonic Performance

Description

The Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra was organized in April of 2011 by Artistic Director and Conductor John Pew. With enthusiastic support from both musicians and audiences, the TSO has grown to be a 75-member, audition-only, community orchestra, now performing its nineth full season.

A TSO season consists of five concerts, with most concerts comprising two evening performances. Concerts feature
one or more guest artists and are accompanied by pre-concert receptions for season-ticket holders, educational
program notes, and post-concert receptions for the audience and orchestra. Each season also includes a side-by-side
performance opportunity for local youth orchestra musicians. Regular season concerts draw audiences from Utah and
Salt Lake counties and average 570 attendees per performance.

The TSO organization has been evolving and improving every year since it was founded-garnering critical acclaim,
cultivating a loyal audience, and making symphonic music more accessible, both to the Utah County community and a
wider Utah audience.
