Description
HAAN's structure consists of a director that reflects the mission and ethnic mix of the population served and sets policies for the organization. We started in 1998 in Brooklyn, NY as a Street Outreach group providing HIV/AIDS education and prevention services to the teens and young adults at risk, Outreach turned to Street Festival. in the last 8 years we have also honored, and recognized Influential Women in the communities that they serve, currently serving the community with a food distribution as a partner agency with Second Harvest. We are currently serving 300 to 350 families in a week. The goal is to serve 1000 families every month. We have also provided monthly educational seminars via a television show with a live audience in different health issues for awareness.
