Workshop Host If you have business experience and enjoy helping people learn through coaching, tutoring or leadership you can become a Workshop Host for the Small Business Administration’s highly respected volunteer organization PIEDMONT SCORE. You will introduce the Workshop Presenter, oversee logistics and facilitate questions from the audience. Training and other support is provided. All workshops are Virtual so you can host them from home or on-site. The ideal mentor is empathetic, flexible, and enjoys connecting people to the right resources. SCORE needs bi-lingual mentors who can help aspiring entrepreneurs and existing business owners whose first language is not English by providing business expertise, support, and the necessary tools to help them reach their goals. As a mentor you will use your industry-based knowledge and expertise to help clients solve problems, increase business efficiency, and assist with developing long-term business plans. Mentors often have significant experience within their field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to dedicate a few hours a week. EDUCATION Project Manager Since 1970 SCORE Piedmont volunteers have helped thousands of entrepreneurs in the South Carolina Upstate achieve their dreams of successfully starting or growing a small business by building strong, life-long relationships through mentoring, workshops, and expert resources. SCORE Piedmont is the only all-volunteer organization in the Upstate dedicated to helping the local, small business community grow and thrive. As a volunteer in this highly respected organization, not only do you use your knowledge and industry expertise to help others succeed, you'll also support the community in a meaningful way. If you enjoy managing projects, are detail oriented and enjoy using your knowledge to help others succeed in business, you can become a member of SCORE Piedmont's Education Team. This is a part time, hybrid position with flexible hours. As Education Project Manager you'll oversee a team of four individuals who source, schedule, evaluate and maintain a robust program of business workshops and webinars. These workshops and webinars are offered free of charge to SCORE clients and potential entrepreneurs and are an important component of early and lifelong learning needs for business owners. Attendees are an enthusiastic, committed group of entrepreneurs who are eager to learn about Business Planning and Startup, Marketing, Financial Reporting and more.
