The South Wedge Food Program exists to offer free groceries to people in need in Rochester, NY. We provide food with respect and dignity and help clients find other sources of help in and around the Rochester area.
Since the 1970's the Historic Calvary St Andrews building has hosted a feeding program for those in need. Currently, we feed between 800 and 1000 families each month. We provide each family with a variety of food ranging from shelf stable items to fresh produce, and frozen meats to sweets. During the pandemic we have adapted a pre-packed bag model for supplemented by fresh, frozen and refridgerated items. We have also implemented a delivery system for those who can not leave their homes.
