Mission Statement

The Music for Memories organization uses vocal music programs to improve the aging experience for individuals in senior living facilities. Our mission is to make musical entertainment and participation accessible and possible for all seniors.

Description

The Music For Memories organization brings free vocal music programs to Seniors in a variety of senior-living facilities. The program consists of the a'Choir'd Harmony community choir which travels throughout the East Metro area doing free performances. This 35+ member group has been performing together for over 10 years and has entertained thousands of seniors. New members are welcome!
The organization also implements and supports 'senior' choirs that are comprised of residents within a senior-living facility. These senior choirs have greatly reduced isolation, boredom and loneliness. Senior choir members have stated that choir practice is the highlight of their week. One member stated that singing in the choir was 'more beneficial than all the medications that I take!"
