Description

START (Students, Teachers, and Researchers Teach) Science, Inc. is a non-profit organization that aims to spark and keep aflame the excitement of elementary school children for science. Began over 10 years ago in New York, START Science has since become an international organization, with Chapters focused in Canada, the United States, and Africa, our newest Chapter having recently opened in Kampala, Uganda.

While the individual Chapters conduct the active component of the program, the Board of Directors oversees the growth and management of all Chapters internationally to ensure all are supported and furthering their impact. Board Members are responsible for the 'behind the scenes' of the organization including, but not limited to, business development, grant applications, creating and executing events and campaigns, data and feedback collection from all Chapters, financial and legal monitoring, as well as media and communications.
