Mission Statement

The Mozambique Initiative is a ministry of the Missouri United Methodist Conference. We join people and congregations across the USA with people and congregations in Mozambique, Africa in partnership for mutual ministry. We focus on three key ministry areas that work together to holistically transform people and communities on both side of the partnership. 1. Transforming the Body 2. Transforming the Heart and Mind 3. Transforming the Community

Description

Faubion UMC has partnered with a sister church in Mozambique, Africa for a few years. Our sister church is called Muhalaze. We communicate with our sister church through emails by the Pastor and share pictures and stories and needs. We pray for each other and are trying to form a relationship between the 2 congregations.

In 2018 Faubion raised money to purchase bibles, hymnals, and a motorbike for the Pastor to use to reach out to the community.

Our 2019 goal is to help raise money to allow our sister church to build a sturdy structured church with bricks. Right now the church is made of metal sides and a thatched roof. They can not hold services and lessons when it rains-and it rains a lot there.

We are volunteers within the church who are looking for other like minded Christians to help us raise funds and partner with our sister church in Africa.
