Mission Statement

Little Acorn House is a non profit 501C3 grassroots organization. It is located in Phoenixville PA at the intersection of Pughtown Rd and Kimberton Rd. The house opened July of 2018 by three families interested in creating an innovative residential model for young adults with IDD after they turned 21. We have partnered with KenCrest and are creating a lifesharing environment for the young adults. We have "co-workers" who live with the young adults. These co-workers share their meaningful days cooking, working the land, volunteering in the community, care-taking of some farm animals, and maintaining vegetable gardens. It is an enriching and complimentary lifestyle for all that are involved.

Description

Our goal is to create a sustainable environment for the three young adults that live on the property that will lifeshare with the coworkers who also live on property while maintaining the animals, the gardens, and participating in the community events and giving back in some way to all those that support our endeavor to create a meaningful life for the three young adults that live and work at Little Acorn House
