Mission Statement

Basics for Local Kids collects and distributes winter-wear to local kids in need. Winter-wear includes winter coats, snow pants, boots, hats and gloves/mittens for kids ages newborn to 18 years old.

Description

Bascs for Local Kids began offering winter-wear to kids in need in 2010. The objective is to collect and distribute new and gently used winter-wear to kids each fall, primarily in western Wisconsin. We have served over 3200 kids since 2010 with a recent average of @ 500 kids each year.

We host (2) 1 day distribution events in October / November. Requests after that are handled on a case by case basis.
