The mission of WHW is to provide the unemployed and underemployed the skills and resources they need to get and keep a good job.
Since 1993, WHW has served over 80,000 job seekers referred by over 275 partner agencies at no charge. Each year more than 8,000 job seekers participate in programs focused on equipping them to be the most marketable candidates for the job they seek. Programs include Employment Readiness Workshops, Computer Training, Job Placement Assistance, Employment Retention Support and Professional Apparel. Since its inception in 1993, WHW’s business model has been to provide all services at no charge to clients and non-profit agency partners. Rather than offering a pre-designed schedule of services, WHW’s staff and volunteers provide comprehensive, tailored and one-on-one employment solutions to clients, walking the journey with them and ensuring that each one gets what they need in order to be successful. WHW is a great organization. As a volunteer I assisted women with their interview attire and working wardrobes. I also sorted through donations. I even purchased a few items to help the cause. If you love fashion and you know you want to help people, but you aren't sure how you can help, this is a great way.

I started as a volunteer at WHW and enjoyed it so much that I decided to make it my career! I believe in the mission and have seen how the efforts of all the volunteers at WHW really make a difference in the lives of the clients that WHW serves.
